Version 1.4.10 of WordPress Contact Forms by Cimatti is the first WordPress Contact Forms plugin update in twelve months. Our goal has always been to provide a way to make better forms, and this update has both fixes and improvements.
If you are currently using this plugin, you can update it directly from the Installed Plugins page of your WordPress backend.
Otherwise, you can download the latest version from the plugin page on the wordpress.org website: WordPress Contact Forms by Cimatti.
Starting from this version, when a user submits a form, the plugin adds a hash parameter to the URL of the page based on the following rules:
Furthermore, if the same form is present on the page more than once, a counter is added to the formId (FormId-2, FormId-3,…).
These hash parameters will be visible in your analytics program, such as Google Analytics, to allow you to better evaluate the performance of each form.
Most other changes are “under the hood” and deal with technical issues that improve speed and reduce errors. We tested compatibility with the latest versions of WordPress (5.4.2) and PHP (7.4).
We improved the loading times of reCAPTCHA v2. We removed unused resources from the PFBC library. ColorPicker styles and javascript now load only if it is being used.
Use WordPress Contact Forms Plugin to quickly create and publish forms in your WordPress powered website. Select the fields you need, configure on-screen messages, and set up email responses. Preview, test, and easily embed the form in your posts, pages, or custom content types using the TinyMCE button. Create as many forms as you want. Create landing pages, contact pages, invitations, job forms with curriculum upload, customer request forms, spare part requests, and much more.
We have plans to make some improvements to the plugin. If you would like to request a feature, we can’t promise we will include your idea, but we will consider all requests carefully. Just leave it in the comments below!
